WHAT IS "RUSH?"

"Rush" is a time for girls to come out and learn more about our sorority; each semester, we'll host a couple fun events that offer opportunities for anyone to come to our events and have fun while meeting and getting to know the sisters! Attending these events are super helpful for anyone who is interested or curious in understanding what aKDPhi or Greek life in general is about, as not only will you get to meet the sisters involved, but you'll be able to ask any questions you might have as well! All rush events are laid-back, informative, fun, and last but not least, free, and there is absolutely no obligation to join!

hOW dO i "rush?"

As mentioned above, we host a couple rush events during our "rush period," which on average, spans a few weeks. In order to "rush," all you have to do is attend an event​— it's that simple! We recommend that you attend at least one "General Information Session"-type event as well as another event for an informative and fun experience!

If I attend an event,
​do I have to join?

Of course not! You could attend one of our events or all of our events and still make the decision that you don't want to "rush" aKDPhi. That's totally fine too; our events are there for you to have fun and explore a potential interest!

Do I have to be asian to attend events and/or rush?

Nope! We are an Asian-American interest sorority, which means that we promote Asian-American awareness, but we certainly aren't Asian-exclusive. We have sisters of all ethnicities across the nation who have joined us in our mission. In meeting this objective, we do not discriminate against anyone in any way. We warmly welcome all women who share our purpose, interest, and vision.
